Thats good, seing how there were ~200 entrants.

So guys, meet the 5th best UT player in Macedonia.

The finals were GREAT!!! More or less, we were all very good, and the difference from #2 to #7 was some 5-6 frags ( we played for 30 mins).

Ah yes, and the 'Cheater' won. I dont know, it seems that he didnt cheat, but i dont even care anymore. I am very satisfied with my rank, and i had loads of fun playing against some of the best players in Macedonia.

BTW, i won a Terratec TValue TV reciever. Not that i need it, but it`ll come in handy, or maybe i`ll trade my CPU and the TV Card for another CPU.

So guys, thanks for your support, and i`ll try to get online for some fragging ( if my ping is good )

Gratz omegaRED! Anyone ever see someeone use that old "speed-hack" for Counter-Strike? Even though I was furious at the time (I actually crushed my HL cd... it was at least a very obvious hack, to the point of almost being comical. The guy was running around at like 30 times normal speed, and when he fired the para (big machine gun) it sounded like a minigun. Every round he'd just rush the other team's spawn and kill everyone unless someone managed to back themselves into a corner and kill the cheater while he was standing still to aim. Ever play UT against bots and activate the slow motion mode at minimum possible speed? Kinda the same thing.

Cheating sucks, plain and simple.

I used to be active in the TFC Clan scene and we recently retired from TFC, largely in part because it is so easy to cheat. One of the leagues we were in required PunkBuster, but often teams would complain of connection problems, PB was turned off or in optional mode. Sigh.

Anyway, read any of the TFC boards and cries of cheating are plentiful.

Methinks TFC & CS are dead in the water until there's a way to combat cheaters w/too much time on their hands.

Its sad when people think that winning is all there is to life and need to win drives them to cheat. Cheating just takes all of the glory out of winning. Haven fun is what it is all about! I wont my wins to be based on my skills and not on the use of a cheat!

xortam, i feel the same way as Oboy. My primary goal when playing is to have fun. Sure, if i win that`s even better, but i don`t feel like cursing and such if i dont win.

Even when playing online with a ~500 ping, i manage to finish in the top 3 most of the time, and even win some games. I consider that quite a success.

At first, as you may have got the feeling reading my previous posts, i was more or less hoping i win. That is, i didnt know my opposition. It turned out that we were all equal, someone was lucky, others werent. I guess i could`ve played better, and even won the 1st prize, if i went straight to the Shield Belt every time i respawned, but it`s just not my style. I enjoy mass fights, no sniping from afar, just plain simple Close Combat. And i never run. I always head straight for the other guy, regardless if he has a Flak Cannon and i have an Enforcer. It`s just my style

Sometimes, using the shock combo FEELS like cheating
